***Luke blogging*** When in Rome, do as the romans do and hide inside while it rains....The weather wasn't really cooperating while we were in Rome, but we did our best to enjoy the Eternal City.  Rome has a population of almost three million and is very spread out.  So only having three nights there we knew we could only see and do so much.  We stayed in a great little apartment near Trastavere train station.  Situated on the edge of the Trestavere and Vatican neighbourhoods, it is a great spot to catch a tram or bus into the city center or a picturesque walk to the restaurants in Trestavere.  You can walk or bus to the Vatican also. One day in Naples....what a mistake... We should have stayed much, much longer! Originally, Naples was planned as a day trip from our stay in the Amalfi. The more we researched it, the more we felt like that would be a mistake. Honestly, had we not already been doubling up on accommodations for one day, we would have stayed longer. We stayed in the old town. It was dirty, loud, non-stroller friendly and amazing. There is something happening in every inch of the city. People drive anywhere, anyhow they want. Communication happens via yelling mostly and it doesn't take you more than a few blocks to find something amazing to put in your mouth. Greeting form the Amalfi coast. We are staying in a small town not far from Salerno called Maiori. Our "home" for the next week and a half is conveniently located across the street from a beautiful pebbled beach. Might I also add that the base of our building is a bar, where we get coffee every morning and an adult beverage some evenings. The boys have taken a liking to cappuccino foam, so we have to divert their attention with croissants. We've taken a liking to the ever satisfying Aperol Spritz.
